About Maria

Maria Taormina, MSS, MEd, is a professional coach, parent educator and counselor. Maria’s vision is to strengthen personal and family relationships. She has worked in churches, schools and homes to provide assessments, counseling and consultation, and conduct parent training. Maria also has a vast background working with children, teens and young adults struggling with emotional, psychological and/or behavioral challenges. She has most recently taught a Social Work class at Millersville University.

Maria’s background includes over 22 years experience as a counselor, social worker, educator, school counselor and coach. She has worked with children and adults in residential care, foster care, hospitals and rehabilitation centers.

Maria earned a Master’s degree in Social Service from Bryn Mawr College Graduate School of Social Service and Research. She also received a Master’s degree in counselor education from West Chester University. Maria is a licensed and certified Social Worker in Pennsylvania as well as a certified School Counselor.
