Coach training provides you with skills and competencies to empower others and yourself.

We offer three comprehensive coach training programs that are specifically tailored for today’s spiritual leaders.

We currently offer over 70+ hours of coach training.

All of our training is aligned with the Core Coaching Competencies of the International Coach Federation and has been proven effective when coaching today’s spiritual leaders and organizations.

We currently offer three levels of certification:

    Basic Coach Training Certification: A strong introduction to coaching. Basic Coach Training is offered in both the on-site and tele-class format.

    Core Skills Coach Training Certification: Designed to further develop your coaching confidence and competency; while also providing professional support as you begin to develop your coaching ministry. Core Skills Coach Training is offered in the tele-class format or through a combination of 5 days of on-site coach training and follow-up tele-classes through the Accelerated Coach Training Process.

    Advanced Coaching Skills Certification: Practical and proven strategies are offered to enable each coach to successfully launch and customize their coaching ministry. Advanced Coach Training is offered in the tele-class format or through a combination of 5 days of on-site coach training and follow-up tele-classes through the Accelerated Coach Training Process.


BASIC COACH TRAINING:

Basic Coach Training is designed to equip pastors and ministry leaders with basic coaching skills that can be integrated and incorporated into their local ministry setting. Coach training can dramatically enhance the ministry leader’s effectiveness as a leader and greatly increase the impact within their faith community and the larger local community. In addition, this training will prepare ministry leaders to effectively coach each other in coaching partnerships among their peers.
Participants in this training will:

  • Gain a strong understanding of coaching and the distinction between coaching and therapy, consulting and mentoring.
  • Develop core coaching skills that can be incorporated into the local church setting
  • Receive a combination of coaching theory and practice.
  • Observe LIVE coaching by a Professional Certified Coach.
  • Learn a Five-Step Coaching Model
  • Receive a complimentary coaching session with one of our coaches
  • Participate in a follow-up group coaching session 30 days after the training is completed. The intention is to provide support and accountability in the development of each participant. A bridge line telephone will be used.

A Certificate of Completion will be offered to those who have completed the Basic Coach Training Module, experienced a complimentary coaching session and participated in the 30 day follow-up group coaching call.

CORE SKILLS COACH TRAINING:

Core Skills Coach Training is specifically designed for those who want to further develop their coaching confidence and competence. The three Core Skills Modules and the required mentor-coaching provides participants with a strong coaching foundation. Many Core Skills participants are interested in developing a coaching ministry within their own ministry setting or are considering launching a coaching ministry of their own.

Participants in this training will:

  • Gain a thorough understanding of the 11 Core Coaching Competencies
  • Further develop and hone their own coaching skills
  • Observe LIVE coaching by a seasoned coach
  • Coach and be coached by another participant

A prerequisite for Core Skills Coach Training is a Basic Coach Training Certificate of Completion.

A Core Skills Certificate of Completion will be issued upon successful completion of the Core Skills Modules + two electives. In addition, each candidate must also receive mentor-coaching. *Please note that the cost of mentor-coaching is not included in the Core Skills Coach Training fee. This requirement can be completed through 3 months of individual mentor-coaching or 6 months of group mentor-coaching. The successful demonstration of Core Coaching Skills competency through a coaching demonstration and review, plus a written exam are also required.

ADVANCED COACH TRAINING

Advanced Coach Training is designed for those who want to develop a coaching practice within their own ministry setting or launch their own coaching business. Advanced Coach Training has two required modules which provide participants with practical and proven strategies and techniques for developing a successful coaching ministry. In addition, several electives options allow participants to customize their coaching expertise.

A prerequisite for Advanced Coach Training is the Core Skills Certificate of Completion.

Advanced Coaching Modules - Required

Advanced Coaching Electives include: (Select 6)

An Advanced Coaching Skills Certificate will be issued to those who have completed the two required Advanced Coaching Modules and six Advanced Coaching Electives. In addition, each candidate must also receive 6 months of individual mentor-coaching. (Two 45 minute mentor-coaching sessions per month for 6 months.) *Please note that the cost of mentor-coaching is not included in the Advanced Coach Training fee. The successful demonstration of Advanced Coaching Skills competency through a coaching demonstration and review, plus a written exam are also required.
